DANIEL WILLIAM LADELL Daniel William Ladell was born in Winnipeg on June 19, 1954. He was predeceased by his father, Lloyd George Ladell of Winnipeg Beach on June 24, 1975 and his mother, Shirley Anne Jensen of North Vancouver on February 27, 2003. Dan left Winnipeg in his early 20s to work in Ottawa as a junior member of Joe Clark's staff. He then moved on to Stratford, ON where he enjoyed a rewarding career with the Stratford Theatre Festival as its Archivist and Researcher. Dan was also director for the production of numerous theatrical exhibits and fundraising gala events for the festival. After leaving the festival, Dan formed his own company and one of his major projects was the Thailand pavilion display for the Canadian National Exhibition. As Dan's illness progressed, he could no longer continue working full time but devoted himself to AIDS related activities with organizations like The AIDS Society of Toronto. Dan succumbed to his illness on October 17, 2005 and is survived by his older siblings, Randall and Bonnie. Friends may call at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel, 467 Sherbrourne Street, Toronto, ON (South of Wellesley) on Saturday, October 22 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel on Wednesday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coach House Chapel. ROSAR-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 1-416-924-1408.
