WILLIAM PATRICK JOHNSON
Born: May 11, 1939
Date of Passing: Oct 16, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM PATRICK JOHNSON It is with sadness that we announce the death of our brother Bill after an impossible battle with cancer. Bill passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2005 at the Riverside Health Centre. Bill was born in Winnipeg on May 11, 1939, the son of Norman Einer and Mary Ellen Johnson. He will be sorely missed by his sister Shelagh Pawloski (Peter); niece Jennifer Phillips (David); sister Jocelyne Johnson and his second mother Irene Johnson; sister Doreen Lange (Richard) and brother Donald Black (Karen). Bill was a caring son, brother, uncle and a loyal friend. He had a dry wit and enjoyed a good laugh. He was a private person who never liked to call attention to himself or have any fuss made over him. Bill always seemed to know when someone needed a hand and would just arrive to help with whatever needed doing. In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. A private interment at Brookside Cemetery with immediate family only will occur at a later date. Our family would like to thank the staff of the Manitoba Home Care Program for enabling Bill to stay at home. Very heartfelt thanks to all the staff at 3E Riverview Health Centre for their caring attention during Bill's final weeks. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or to the Arthritis Society, 105-386 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6.
