Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILDRED MABEL MORIER (nee FERNANDEZ) May 30, 1913 - October 20, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom, Mildred Morier on Thursday, October 20, 2005 in the Dauphin Hospital at the age of 92 years. Mom was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and came from a large family with many brothers and sisters. After she married our dad, David Barnard Morier, they moved to Singapore. Dad passed away in 1973 and Mom immigrated to Canada in 1974. Mom became a Canadian Citizen with her daughter Shirley a few years after they arrived. She was predeceased by her beloved husband David Barnard; daughters, Lydia and Maureen; sons, Richard, Billy; and stepchildren, Florence, Zeno (Hazel); and grandson Glen. Left to mourn are her children, Mickey (Katherine) in Singapore, Winston (Priscilla), Margaret in England, Janet (Edward) in British Columbia, Shirley (Paul), Carmen (Harold) and Robin (Lorna) in British Columbia. Also 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses who took care of Mom in Dauphin Hospital. Thank you Shirley and Paul for your tender loving care of Mom. Dear Mom, Memories of you we will always cherish. May God hold you close in His arms. Rest in Peace. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 26, at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 325 St. Charles St. A reception will follow at the church, with interment following at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Mildred's name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to the Canadian Cancer Society of Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
