LEON ROBERT PRUCYK July 15, 1935 - October 20, 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Leon Robert Prucyk, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Leon is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Evelyn (nee Wazny); his children, daughter Barbara (James) Bardsley and children Mark, Jonathon, and Geordan; son Brian (Catharine) and son Andrew; sisters Jessie Quesnel, Stephanie Phillips, Blanche (Fred) Williams and Cecelia Prucyk. He is also survived by Evelyn's brother Eric (Barbara) Wazny; sister-in-law Myrna Wazny, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Leon was predeceased by his parents Martin and Regina; in-laws Walter and Victoria; sisters Nellie and Jeane; brothers Walter, Joe, and Frank; sister-in-law Jane; and brother-in-law Robert. Leon was born in Selkirk, MB, attended the University of Manitoba and was employed at W.L. Wardrop for 20 years and later at Manitoba Telephone Systems for 16 years. He had a stern face, but a soft and loving heart. An avid hunter and do-it-your-selfer, he was never afraid to lend a hand and was always involved in some project. The family would like to express there sincere appreciation and thanks to the Doctor and nurses in the Chemotherapy Clinic at Selkirk Hospital. Memorial services will be held Monday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements
