Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIOLET EDITH HOWES (nee VINCENT) Peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2005 at Park Manor Personal Care Home, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Violet Vi Howes passed away at the age of 90 years. Vi was predeceased by her husband Art in 1999, her parents Arthur and Edith Vincent, and by three brothers and two sisters. She is lovingly survived by her daughters Pat (Louis) Johnson and Margaret Brandenburg; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Vi was born and raised in Winnipeg. She met and married Arthur Howes in 1940. During the Second World War, Art was sent overseas, and Vi was left back home to have their first child. When Art returned from the War, they raised their family in Winnipeg. Vi was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and she enjoyed visiting people in the hospital and nursing homes. She was a wonderful cook and her chocolate and lemon pies were much appreciated. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Tuesday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Manor Personal Care Home, 301 Redonda Street (Transcona). A special Thank you is extended to the staff at Park Manor for their excellent care of Mom, especially Mr. Toop, Theresa, and Mr. Diamond.
