FREDA JEAN MERRITT On Saturday morning, October 22, 2005, with family beside her, Freda Merritt gracefully passed away after a short illness. She remained strong as she thought only of her home and family during this time. Freda was a kind and beautiful woman who brought joy and happiness to whomever she encountered. If one's life can be measured by how much friends and family loved her, then Freda lived a wonderful life, which any of us would be so lucky to have. Mother was predeceased by her husband Willard (1960); and brothers and sisters, Bud, Beatrice, Douglas, Gilbert, Manford, Vi and Ward. She will be remembered fondly by her sister Anne; sister-in-law Juanita; children, Francis (Dale), Roland (Regina); grandchildren, Andrew, Kimberly, Meagan, Sherry-Lynn, Christopher; and great-grandchildren, Robyn, Eric, Dwayne, August and Graham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 25 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Cremation will follow. A memorial service will also be held at the chapel, Wednesday, October 26 at 3:00 p.m. A reception will be held in the Reception Centre following interment.
