DONALD EDWARD COX 1927 - 2005 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, opa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Donald Edward Cox. Don passed away at home on Friday, October 21, 2005 with his dear wife by his side. He was predeceased by his father Arthur; his mother Mary (White); brother Robert (Bob); and his dear Aunt Tillie and Uncle Fred MacDonald, all from Nova Scotia. Don is survived by his wife Jannet (Bruinooge); son Robert; daughter Susan and her husband Gary and his loving grandson Jordan Shaddock, all of Calgary; his sister Marie Cooper; brother Alfred and several family and friends. He was born on December 26, 1927 in Truro, NS. He spent some time in the Merchant Navy and in the Army. He was an Industrial Engineer with Inco Ltd. in Elliot Lake, Sudbury and then in Thompson where he retired after 31 years. Don was a member of the Masonic Order, Khartum Shrine and the Royal Canadian Legion. After his retirement he worked in Winnipeg as a Commissionaire. A memorial service for Don will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel (Okotoks), 200 Woodgate Rd. In memory of Don memorial contributions may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1825 Park Rd. S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 3Y6.
