MARY NEUFELD (nee SCHMIDT) 1920 - 2005 It is with sorrow that we, the family, announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, on Saturday, October 22, 2005, at the Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Margaret Lusby of Winnipeg, her son Dave and his wife Merridith of Calgary, her son Pete and his wife Darlene of Saskatoon, her son Henry and his wife Golda of Calgary, her daughter Agnes and her husband Vern Litzenberger of Hamiota, her son John and his wife Mary-Ann of Winnipeg, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren as well as other family, friends and acquaintances. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1989, her father Heinrich Schmidt in 1954, her mother Elizabeth Schmidt in 1978, one son-in-law, Malcolm Lusby in 1999, her sister Lena in 2001, her sister Liese in 2003, one brother and one sister in infancy as well as her father-in-law Gerhardt Neufeld in 1943 and her mother-in-law Justina Neufeld in 1954. Though we sorrow, we do not sorrow as those who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again; therefore we also believe that when Jesus returns, we will be reunited through Him, with all who have died believing in Him. (1 Thessalonians 4:13) With our love, we, the family, grant her, her peace. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Elim Mennonite Church, Grunthal, MB, with a devotional and visitation at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26 at Klassen Funeral Home.
