Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMIKE MAZUR Peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2005, at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, Mike Mazur, of Arborg, MB, passed away at the age of 84 years. Mike was predeceased by his wife Kay (1992); parents Peter and Katherine Mazur; and sisters, Mary, Ann and Jennie. Mike is survived by his son Larry; grandchildren, Randy (Nancy), Tara (Jason); brother Joe (Eileen); sisters, Nellie and Alma; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was born on July 22, 1921 in Poplarfield. He worked in the mines in Quebec, lumber camps and on his father's farm in the 1930s and 1940s. In 1947 he married Kay and together they ran a small grocery store in Winnipeg while he worked for the City of Winnipeg. In 1950 they bought a farm in the Arborg area which became their family farm. Here he resided for the rest of his life. He loved working the farm and tending to his cattle and grain fields. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren when they would come out from Winnipeg. He always made sure they had lots to eat when they came out, as he enjoyed cooking, especially lazy holubtsi. He was good with numbers and enjoyed a good conversation about politics or history. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Pastor Bruce Zinkew will officiate, with interment to follow in the Hamrlik Cemetery. Vichnaya Pam'yat In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangments.
