RUBY AMEY (LANE) January 15, 1933 - October 24, 2005 It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our caring wife, mother, and grandmother Ruby Amey Dear . Ruby will be deeply missed by her husband Leonard of 52 years; her son Jim (Yvonne); grandchildren, Tara (Liam), Andrea and daughter Susan-Marie. She is survived by brothers, Fred, Jerry (Margaret), Len (Becky) and Jim (Nadia). Ruby was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lane; sisters Opal, Violet; brothers, Jeff, Maxie and Garnett and many of her nieces and nephews. Ruby traveled with Len and family while stationed in U.S.A., Europe and Canada. Her greatest love was for her family and her many close friends, she will be sadly missed and she also said Always Think of the Good Times Dear . Granny's Kitchen was always open for her grandkids and their friends during lunch and after school. Her love for everyone always showed when she was there for her grand-children's graduations and sporting events. She always had a smile and kind words for everybody. To her everybody was Dear and she had a smile for everyone. Family wishes to thank all those involved in providing excellent care and comfort in the last four months at the Grace Hospital, 3rd floor and intensive care unit. A cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. MISS ME BUT LET ME GO When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little -- but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared. Miss me -- but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone. it's all a part of the Master's plan A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me -- but let me go.
