Jim's steadfast gentleness and loyalty influenced not only his family, but also touched his church community, where he was a devoted supporter for many years. Dad, thank you for teaching us to love, to share, to care for others, to be patient and kind. Many thanks to Donwood Manor staff for their tender care of Dad. Each of you added more joy and love to his life. A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held at John Black Memorial United Church, 898 Henderson Hwy., on Friday, October 28, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Jim Hatherly officiating. A private interment will be held. Pallbearers will be Jim's grandsons, Jordan, Jae, Aubrey, Ian, Justin, Kaeden, Kyler and Neil. Flowers gratefully declined. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • To a man that believed in me, truly was a roll model on what a real father is like, you and your wife taught me so much on how a family should be. I never forgot and often look at life how you would have seen it and what you would do. I love the way you always found the good in people no matter what, took a bad situation and made it good. Always gave what you could to make others happy such a nice man and often thought about. - Posted by: GJ (Friend) on: Feb 27, 2022
