Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN LADYSHEWSKY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Ladyshewsky, September 19, 2005 at the Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home. John is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Evelyn, They were inseparable and happily married for 58 years. He is also survived by his daughter Angela; and three sons, Kerry (from Toronto), Richard and partner Ron (from Australia) and Bohdan and partner Guy (from Montreal); granddaughter Kala; grandsons, Dominic, Dustin and Scott. As well, surviving sisters, Julia McCort, Stella Bright and Eva Thibault (of Toronto). There are numerous nieces and nephews as well. John was a devoted family man and worked very hard providing for his family. He worked for the Dominion Bridge Steel Company for 39 years. John had a competitive edge and loved sports. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family. He loved taking the family into the shield country of Northern Ontario, and spent many happy days fishing, canoeing, swimming and blueberry picking at the deaf camp. Dad was deaf, and was a very active member of the deaf community for many years, both politically and socially. He was a kind and gentle man who always had a smile for everyone. We will always remember those wonderful sparkling eyes. John had a big heart and often lent a helping hand to those who needed it. A celebration of John's life will be held at the DEAF Centre Manitoba, 285 Pembina Hwy., on Wednesday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m. Evelyn, Angela and the rest of the family wish to express their thanks to the staff of Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home. They gave wonderful care and preserved John's dignity, when illness overtook his body. There are so many people to thank. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to a charity of your choice.
