JEAN STEFANIUK Peacefully, with her family by her side, Jean passed away on October 23, 2005 at the East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Harry and his wife Doreen; grandsons, Gregg of Winnipeg and Kevin; granddaughter Pam and her husband Don Adam and their children, Kory, Sheldon and Tanyss all of Beausejour; sisters, Carol Gushawaty, Nellie Gmiterek and Stella Zdrill; and sister-in-law Carrie Stefaniuk also many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1996; her parents, Alex and Antonia Rogocki; her sisters, Mary and Ella; and her brothers, Nick, Mike, Walter and Steve. Jean was born on September 20, 1908. She married Fred in February, 1928. Together they farmed in the Glenfields area. In 1952 they moved to town but continued to farm the land at the homestead with their son Harry and later their grandson Kevin. Prayers will be said on Friday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Park Avenue, Beausejour with interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. We, the family, would like to thank the staff at East Gate Lodge, the Beausejour District Hospital, the home care workers and Dr. D. Schmidt for all their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Jean's memory may be made to East Gate Lodge or Beausejour Hospital, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
