DONALD JOHN ADAMSON On Monday, October 31, 2005 Don Adamson passed away at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 74 years. Don was born in Winnipeg on April 6, 1931. He graduated from Gordon Bell High School and worked at the CNR shops from 1950 to 1960. Don began work at Campbell Soup when it opened in 1960 as a machinist and later as plant engineer and retired when the plant closed in 1990. He enjoyed his summers at Lac Lu making it his hobby to fix and keep things working as well as to do some woodworking. He was predeceased by his dad Frank in 1950, mother Minnie in 1995, mother and father-in-law Sam and Aida Easton, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Pat Easton. Don is survived by his wife Joyce; son Murray (Sally) with grandchildren Katie, David, Carol; son Ken (Marie) with grandchildren Scott and Jackie; nephew Grant (Linda) Easton with their children Samantha and Laura; nephew Glen with his children Michael and Leslie; nephew Jim (Shelley) Easton with their children Alex and Zac and niece Lynne (Kevin) Grant with their children Marlo and Camryn. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 3 at 1:30 p.m. at McKenzie United Church (85 11Street NW) with Rev. Marg Scott officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Don's memory to Canadian Cancer Care, 675 McDermot Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 SK Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8 or to a charity of your choice.
