JOAN BARNES (nee POSTLES) With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend Joan Barnes on October 30, 2005 at Riverview Hospital, at the young age of 71 years, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Joan was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, by only 39 days. She is survived by her four children, Susan (Sway Majetic), Carol (Robert Eekhoudt), Andrew and Nicloa (Todd Trudeau). Her seven grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Adam, Jennifer, Allison, Cameron, and Eric. Her sisters, Shiela Gale (England), Anne Postles (Winnipeg), and two nephews, Johnny and David Gale (England). Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. We will always remember your smile, your warm heart, and your love for dancing. We will miss your enduring love for all of us. Our family would like to thank the staff of D4 at H.S.C. Hospital, especially Joe, for all the support and care of our mum which made everything a little more bearable during her short battle with cancer, and the Staff of the 3rd floor of Riverview, especially her nurse, Betty.
