Mom was predeceased by her parents, Kinu and Yaozo Nomura, brothers, Tom and Aki, and sister, Mesae. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 60 years, Tadao; daughters, Jane (Dave), Carolyn (Gerry); son, Ron (Laura); grandchildren, Kristin (Chris), Brent (Sheri), Robert, Jesse, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Branden, Kobe, Mika, Kaylee; sisters, Inis (Jack) Kitamura, Asako Nomura; brothers, George (Sach) Nomura, Tosh (Jessie) Nomura; sisters-in-law Emily Nomura, Nancy Takeshita, Tami Takeshita, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Mom was born on February 11, 1920 in Mission, BC, married her love-at-first-sight on March 3, 1946 in Coaldale, AB. Mom and Dad then moved to Winnipeg where they began a family. Mom worked as a seamstress at home, then House of Florence, Cameo Dress Shop, and finally Eaton's, from where she retired in 1989. Mom enjoyed the activities of the MJCCA, The Manitoba Cultural Center and the Senior's and Ladies Clubs of the Church. Everyone who knew Mom loved her and admired her for her patience, gentleness, caring, and non-judgmental manner. Our family would like to extend our most gracious thank you to the staff and volunteer care workers of Maples Personal Care Home for their kindness and loving care towards both Mom and Dad.
