HELEN BILKOSKI Mrs. Helen Bilkoski, aged 89 years, of Beausejour, MB passed away peacefully on October 31, 2005 at East Gate Personal Care Home. She is survived by sons, Ken (Leah) and Robert, daughters Carole Solmundson (Bernie Gross) and Lynda Chercoe (Terry); grand-children, Janine Olson, Mike Solmundson (Tammy), Jayson, Jordan and Crystal Chercoe, Tony and Kendel Bilkoski, great-grandchildren, Cortney, Carly and Kendra Olson, Kardy, Kyle and Kevin Solmundson and life long friend Jean Kostenchuk. She was predeceased by husband Tony in 1970 and her son-in-law Einar Solmundson as well as her seven siblings. Helen was a local business woman in Beausejour since 1965. She was actively involved in her community and many charities through the years. Nanny forever had a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face. She radiated love and made everyone feel significant and cared for. Her door was always open to everyone. She was also a devoted member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Park Avenue, Beausejour with Rev. Fr. Nestor Yakiwchuk officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 3 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at East Gate Lodge for the wonderful care they provided Helen (Nanny) and a special thank you to Alan Peitsch. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Helen's memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or East Gate Lodge, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
