Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLANCE HERBERT JONES It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lance on October 31, 2005. Lance was born on April 6, 1959, in The Pas, MB. At the age of nine he moved with his parents to Ashern, MB. When he was 17, Lance left school to work as a Leading Track Maintenance man for the CNR. He was employed there for several years before his back disease left him unable to work. On October 31, 1980, he met Debbie Ratte and on July 24, 1982 they were married. In 1986 their daughter Melissa was born and in 1989 they had a son named Hugh. Lance enjoyed ice fishing, hunting and watching movies. In earlier years, he commercial fished with his brother Herb and enjoyed his time spent with Barry Yanke in the summer months minnow fishing. His favourite past time was having drinks with his friends, telling stories about the good old days while listening to the oldies on the radio. He leaves to mourn his children Melissa and Hugh; and his wife Debbie; his parents Hugh and Doris Jones; brothers Tim and Linda, Donald and Heather, Herbert and Dianna, his sisters Janet and Mike, Connie and brothers-in-law Cliff and Pat, Jim and Heather, Mike and Denise, Don and Kelly, Les; sisters-in-law Donna and Butch, Joanne and Don, along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2005, at the Ashern Legion Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Service will conclude at the Hall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Peterson, Harry Everatt, Steven Postlethwaite, Jamie Bruce. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Lance's memory to The Arthritis Society, 386 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6. Arrangements by ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD. I thought of Lance today, as I do everyday, but today I just wanted to reach out so others know they are not alone with the thought of you gone. Stories are still being told about the good ol' days about Lance and I am happy knowing Lance still holds a place in many hearts. Lance, I miss you. I miss talking to you. I have my memories that make me smile and some that are not so funny but, they are my memories of you and I cherish each one.
