MATTHEW DONALD (GLENN) HARKNESS With family at his side, Glenn Harkness passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at the Portage District General Hospital, Portage la Prairie at the age of 82 years. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Jean of Portage la Prairie; four sons, Grant (Gillian) of Portage la Prairie, Shawn (Beth) of Portage la Prairie, Kim (Hilda) of MacGregor and Howard (Shirley) of Waterdown, ON along with 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, November 4 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church on Saturday, November 5 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Julie Baker officiating. Glenn will be buried at the family plot in Beaver Creek Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Glenn's memory to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, 104, 10335 172 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5S 1K9 or to Lions Prairie Manor Foundation, 24 9th Street SE, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3V4.
