Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) CAMERON KIRK Peacefully, on November 3, 2005, after a brief illness, Bob (Robert) Cameron Kirk beloved husband of Kathleen, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre with family by his side. Bob was born on August 6, 1952 and grew up on the family farm near Sanford. Upon completing high school at Sanford Collegiate, Bob attended the University of Manitoba graduating with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Commerce. While employed with the firm Deloitte Haskins and Sells, Bob obtained his Chartered Accountancy. He was employed with Inter-City Gas in Winnipeg and later in Toronto. He returned home in 1990 to accept a position with Manitoba Hydro. Bob worked at Manitoba Hydro the past 15 years and currently held the position of Corporate Controller Finance Administration. Bob volunteered his time as treasurer of the Manitoba Electrical League and as a board member of United Way. Bob's family will always remember his generous nature and his gracious hospitality continually opening his home to family and friends. His annual Super Bowl party was a much anticipated event. He also had a love for music, books, reading, and an interest in political and social issues of the day, as well as the latest technology and an appreciation of fine cars and the open road. Bob was predeceased by his mother Doreen. He leaves to mourn his wife of 28 years, Kathleen; his father Cameron; brother Alan and Barb Kirk and their children, Anne, John and Alison; sister Sheila and Rodney Cook and their children, Erin and Evan; in-laws, Fred Knight, Barb Pertson, Nora and Pat McDermid, Margaret and Verne McKernan, Timothy and Dalyee Knight, Shirley and Paul Mann, Elinor and Ken Friesen, Elizabeth and Rob Amborsky, Richard and Karen Knight and their families. Bob will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Bob had a special appreciation for time spent with family. He enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews whenever there was a family gathering. We will all miss him deeply. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at WRHA, Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to the United Way or the Salvation Army. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. THOMSON IN THE PARK FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 MCGILLIVRAY BLVD (BETWEEN PEMBINA WAVERLEY) 925-1120
