ERNEST SEAVERS Peacefully on November 4, 2005 at the Riverview Health Centre, Ernest passed away at the age of 71. Ernest was predeceased by his parents, Florence and Harry; brother Albert; and son James Ernest Jimmy . He is survived by his loving wife Donna; two daughters, Alana (Jason) and Alison (John); six stepchildren, Kimmie (Thomas), Jack, Bradley (Margaret), Carl (Kathy), Gordon (Linda), Craig (Maxima); and best friend Dingo ; numerous nieces and nephews; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ernest was an air force veteran serving from 1952 to 1958, serving in Germany 1954 to 1956 and during that time he did two stints in Rabat, North Africa. After the service he worked for MTS retiring in 1993 after 28 years of service. During retirement he joined the MTS Pioneers Bowling League and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 4, St. James Branch. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow at St. James Legion, Branch No. 4, 1755 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernest memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Rest in Peace, Ernie. My deepest condolences to all of Ernie's family. I knew Ernie for many years because I used to work at the St. James Legion.
