Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN HALIPCHUK (nee ATAMANCHUK) 1936 - 2005 It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyn Halipchuk at the age of 69 years at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home on November 4, 2005. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Halipchuk and parents, Sophia (Solinski) and Alexander Atamanchuk. She leaves to celebrate her life, her children, Cindy (Dan Holland) and Darryl (Kim Grey); her brothers, Arthur, Donald (Bernice) and Edward (Lucille); along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Evelyn was known as a very strong woman who was successful in battling cancer eight years ago. This was attributed to her positive attitude, zest for life and making the most of every situation. Everyone who knew Evelyn was touched by her warmth, this was especially true at the St. Nobert Personal Care Home where she was lovingly known as Mrs. Holopchi . At this time the family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to all the staff at the home, especially Sandie and Yvonne. Your extra support during the last two weeks following Evelyn's stroke was very much appreciated. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 8 at Glen Eden Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Recreation Department at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home, 50 St. Pierre St., Winnipeg, MB R3V 1J6 to enhance the lives of Evelyn's friends. Your battle is over Mom, now you are free. We will miss your smiling face! Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 Main St. 338-7111 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.gleneden-mb.ca.
