GRACE JOSEPHINE PHILLIPS August 7, 1919 - November 5, 2005 With saddened hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Grace Phillips. Grace passed away quietly and peacefully with her family at her side in Ste. Anne's Hospital at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years Lloyd; also her two brothers, Bill and Ross. Grace is survived by her children, Gail (Neil) Peden, Gary (Helene) Phillips, Norma (Joe) Ciglar, Debbie (Greg) MacWha; her grandchildren, Gayena, Jeffery, David, Warren, Craig, Erin and Ryan; her great-grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Josh, Katheryn and Kevin. Grace is also survived by her sister Margaret and brother Kenneth. Mom was born in Waterloo, Quebec and raised in Timmins, Ontario. She met and married Lloyd in 1940. Together they raised their children at CFB Petawawa. Dad and Mom retired in Pembroke, Ontario. Mom moved west to Lorette to join her daughter and family in 1995. Mom's greatest passion in life, second only to her family, was her knitting, crocheting and her famous quilting, her family being the recipients of many wonderful heirlooms. She especially enjoyed her Tuesdays spent with her seniors group in Lorette these past 10 years. We were indeed blessed to have such a kind and loving mother who was always there to help not only family but also her friends. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff for their kind and compassionate care during her stay in the hospital. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Rd. Inurnment will be held in Pembroke, Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Grace's memory to a charity of one's choice. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
