IRENE DESORCY Irene went to meet the Lord, peacefully at home in her sleep on Friday, November 4, 2005 at the age of 72 years. Irene will be lovingly remembered by her four sisters, Gertrude Adolphe, Sr. Bernadette Desorcy, M.O., Sr. Florence Desorcy, S.J.S.H., and Eugenie Kozielec; her three brothers Gerard and his wife Marie-Anne, Edouard and his wife Milly and Georges and his wife Alice; two special nieces Shirley and Louise and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews that also held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her father Ubald in 1985, her mother Alphonsine in 1992, also by her sister Ida and her husband Aime Landry, her brother Leonard and his wife Diana and her brothers-in-law Ernest Adolphe and Stanley Kozielec. Irene was born and raised in Lorette, MB. She moved to Winnipeg when she started working at the St. Boniface General Hospital where she devoted herself for over 40 years until her retirement in 1992. Irene was a loving and generous person. Family was very important to her. She really enjoyed family gatherings and inviting the family to the cottage where she spent every summer since her retirement. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Isaie Blanchette, O.M.I. at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, at Precieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny St. Cremation to follow. Interment will take place at a later date at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene's memory to a charity of one's choice.
