JOHN PARALUCH Peacefully, on Saturday, November 5, 2005, John Paraluch passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 83 years. John is survived by his son David (Janis) and their children, Gracie and Jackson; daughter Nadine (Jim) and their children, Tania (Brent) and Colin; great-grandson Daniel; sister Ann (Paul); and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary; his parents, Dmytro and Anna Paraluch. John spent his early years on the family farm in Hazleridge then moved to Winnipeg where he ran a grocery store business for over 30 years. He was actively involved in the church and in later years with senior clubs where he loved to play cards. John was a friendly man who always had a story or joke to tell. He took special pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors who worked so hard to make his last days more comfortable. Prayers will be on Wednesday, November 9 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 10 at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress, 820 Burrows Ave. at 10:00 a.m. with lunch to follow interment.
