Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD SOBETSKI Donald Henry Sobetski, aged 54 years, beloved husband of Linda, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 5, 2005. Don was born on December 3, 1950 in Lockport, MB. He moved to Beausejour as a boy, where he received his education. In 1971 he married Karen and together, had two children, Jeff and Tammy. He worked in various tire shops and in 1972, took over his father's business and called it Don's Beausejour Tire . Later he started Sobetski Tire and in 1988, took on the Polaris dealership which is known today as Sobetski Enterprises. In the early years, he had the ambition and salesmanship that earned him sales awards such as trips to Bermuda. Family vacations were a yearly event going to places like Disneyland in California and Florida. Dinner and a movie were a regular family outing, as well as weekend camping and fishing trips. Don had a passion for fishing and the adventures that went with it. He was at his greatest peace when he was on the lake with all the beauty of nature around him. Another past time that brought him peace was listening to Elvis gospel music, his favourite being How Great Thou Art . Don and Linda enjoyed many fishing and camping trips followed by a fish fry. Don is survived by his loving wife Linda; his children, Tammy, Jeff (Lori); grandchildren, Jordan and Katlyne, whom he was very proud of; mother Josephine; brother John (Barb); sister Mary (Dieter) and also his niece and nephews. He was predeceased by by his father John in 2000. By his request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 730 Atlantic Ave., Beausejour, Rev. Fr. David Brabant presiding. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Desjardins, Fred Kazina, Gord Rosentreter, John Sobetski Jr., Brett Sobetski, Harry Pluchinski, Terry Martin and Dean Zeilke. The family would like to thank Val, Seth and Mary of the Beausejour Ambulance, Cst. Scott Telfer of the RCMP, Dr. Corder, Dr. VanRensberg and nursing staff at the Beausejour and Doug and staff at Sobering Funeral Chapel for the care and compassion shown in our time of need.
