MARY ESTHER MILLS (nee RENNIE) The world has lost a special person. Mary Esther Mills (Rennie) passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, due to the ravages of Alzheimer's Disease. She was a three time cancer survivor. Mary was born July 9, 1914 in Edmonton, AB. She married the love of her life , William Fraser Mills, on March 15, 1940 and together they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1990. They travelled extensively the world over and made friends everywhere. Their cottage at Brereton Lake was their special haven. Mary became a volunteer at Deer Lodge Centre when her Billy passed away in 1990. Mary's good nature and positive attitude was an inspiration to all. She truly was a people person and loved helping others in anyway possible. Left to mourn are her sons, Roger (Joan) and Brian (Jane); eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Ian (Edna); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, John and Alexina Rennie; husband Bill; daughter Moira; and sisters, Betty and Jean. At Mary's request, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place in St. John's Cathedral, 135 Anderson Ave., on Wednesday, November 9 at 4:00 p.m. Following the inurnment, a Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at the home of Joan and Roger from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
