WILLIAM (BILL) LONDON March 6, 1927 - November 7, 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa and friend, Bill London. After a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family, Dad passed away peacefully on November 7, 2005. Dad is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kay, his children Diane (Bill), Darlene (Lou), Tim (Wendy), Brenda (Brian), Laureen (Noel), sisters Marjorie, Kay (Don), Bernice, 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Joe Wurmlinger, sister-in-law Barbara Marino (Peter), sister-in-law Francis Schuster and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was born on March 6, 1927 in Transcona and continued to live there all his life. Dad went to work at the CNR as a machinist's apprentice when he was a teenager. He later went back to school to earn his millwright papers and retired in 1989 after many years of service. Dad's family meant everything to him. Never has anyone loved another like Dad loved Mom. She was his world and his soul mate. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joy and he was always so proud of their every accomplishment. Dad loved to spend time with his family camping, boating and fishing. He was always the first to lend a hand and loved to pass along his extensive knowledge and skills in carpentry and auto repair with his son and his sons-in-law. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with Father Fred Olds officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre. We would like to thank the staff of the Dialysis and 5A Cardiology Units at St. Boniface General Hospital for their understanding and support. A special thank you to Dr. Sean Armstrong and Dr. Martina Reslerova for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation. Always remembered, always cherished Each memory a part of us, A part of you, never to be lost. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
