JOHN (JACK) MAYHEW With sadness, the family announces the passing of John (Jack) Mayhew on November 5, 2005. Born in Wawanesa, August 18, 1920. Jack was the youngest son of Ira and Catherine Mayhew. Husband of 62 years of Norah (Sundell); father of Terry, Jim and Tom; grandfather of Wendy, Sherry and Todd. Awarded his CGA in 1956, Jack was a lifetime member of the Association. Jack was also a 60 year member of the Windsor Masonic Lodge and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Jack spent his lifetime dedicated to this family and his community as a Scout Leader and as a family taxi driver to family sporting events and to many Winnipeg Children's Hospital charitable events and a 5 year volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels . To his family and friends he was known fondly as a kind, gentle man whose warmth endeared him to all who met him. Memorial Service will be held at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10. Interment planned for summer at Holland, MB. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • We are sorry we were unable to be there with you on Thursday, but we were certainly there in spirit. The good Lord sent an abundance of snow our way that made travelling unwise. Our prayers are with you all. May they help to bring you comfort. Love always. - Posted by: Laurie & Norah Stopa (Family) on: Nov 13, 2005

  • My deepest sympathy to Norah and family. - Posted by: Joyce Golbourn (Friend) on: Nov 07, 2005
