WALTER JAMES HUDSON June 22, 1921 - November 7, 2005 It is with great sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Walter James Hudson, surrounded by his family at the Deer Lodge Centre. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Beryl (nee Rombough); brothers Edwin, Russell and sister Bernice. He is survived by his sister Vi Lovering; sister-in-law Helen; and his children Wayne (Elaine) with Alison (Richard), Melanie; Lola (Gary) with Kerry (Richard) and great-grandson Hunter Mitchell; Kelly (Alexander), Andrea (Nathan); Glenn with Michael, Mark; Catherine (Leslie) with Tamara, Meaghan; Susan (Victor) with Robbie, Devon, Ashly, Jeremy. He proudly served with the Fort Garry Horse from September 1939 to January 1946. Upon discharge he was a very talented and respected mechanic and salesman. He also was a loyal member of Lord Selkirk Masonic Lodge #137 and Past President of the Khartum Chanters. Walter was a very dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Grandpa lived a very fulfilled life. He was always there to lend a helping hand or bring a smile to someone's face by simply singing a song. He was a model T , loved his tea, tools, tunes and tobacco. He always said that the closeness of his family made him the richest man in the world. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with interment and reception to follow. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to the Khartum Shrine Center Patient Transportation Fund, or a charity of one's choice.
