Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN ALICE WINNIFRED BAILEY (nee BEACHELL), R.N. Peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Golden West Centennial Lodge, Eileen passed away, with her daughter Bonnie at her side, at the age of 88 years. Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter Bonnie (Frank) Vande Graaf, son Ted Bailey; Judy (George) Corbett; grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Watson, Lisa (Peter) Piskor, David (Shelley) Torz, Allyson Bailey, April (Craig) Schultz, Ted Bailey, Jr. and great-grandchildren, Kyla and Taylor Piskor, Emily Watson, Ethan and Abby Bailey and Rylan Torz. She was predeceased by her husband Ted in 1991; daughter Sharon Torz in 1970 and son-in-law Eldon Watson in 1992. Eileen was born in Carlyle, SK in 1917. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Winnipeg General Hospital in 1941 and in 1942 married Ted who was an RCMP member stationed in Headingley. In 1950 they moved to Woodhaven where they raised their four children. They were always known to family friends as Officer Ed and Nurse Eileen . After the untimely death of daughter Sharon, they raised their grandson David from birth until the age of three. Her uncanny wit and sense of humour kept everyone on their toes. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held in Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Our family would like to thank the entire staff of Golden West Lodge for the care they show to ALL in their facility. Although Eileen often would reply that she was bored - there could not have been a better environment and the care provided was extraordinary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen's memory to Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd. Winnipeg, R2J OS8. Eileen's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
