Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUDOLF HERMAN ALFRED ALBERT THIES Born September 2, 1922 in West Prusia. Died November 8, 2005 in Winnipeg Seven Oaks Hospital. Dad was predeceased by his parents. He served in the army as an ambulance driver and as a cook. He brought his family to Winnipeg in 1954. A decision well made. He retired from Bristol Aerospace in 1987. He enjoyed travelling camping, fishing, later on his cottage in the Whiteshell and their trips to Las Vegas as snow birds. He leaves to mourn his lovely wife of 60 years Erna. His son Klaus and Edeltraut (Edie); daughters, Burglinde (Linde) and Ronnie, and Hannelore (Hanni) and Dieter; his grandchildren, Christopher (Leha), Susan and friend Ken, David and friend Debbie, Ron (Karen); his grandchildren, Tyler, Adam, Justine, Joshua, Amber, Ryan and Haley. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Flora at 2:00 p.m. on November 19 with Pastor Ron Nelson receding.

Ich habe versucht über diesen traurigen Anlass mit meiner Familie in Verbindung zu treten. Ich bin nun auch schon 67 Jahre alt. Bisher waren alle Versuche erfolglos. Mein letzter Kontakt zu euch war 1967. Diese Zeit liegt mir immer noch im Gedächtnis und lässt mich nicht los. Der Tod von Tante Erna und Onkel Rudi hat mich sehr getroffen. Sorry I am not the unkle. I am the nephew. Please excuse my bad english. This is my only way to contact you. I Hope to conect whith fam. Thies. I Think my unkle Rudy was the best Unkle in the World. He allowed me in 1967 to drive his Boat and to carry his flat cap. I think Klaus can remamber. I have got a house in Wustermark. you can see it in google maps Wernitzer Weg 2 Hoppenrade. I have read only today that Unkle Rudy and Aunt Erna died. My own parents Else and Helmut died in 1997. It makes me very sad that after my visit in 1967 we have no contact. For the loss of your parents, I would like to express to you my belated condolences. I hope I hear from you, i think it shoUld not be difficult at the present time. please send me a Answer in german.
