Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAMELIA MEDEIROS Peacefully on November 9, 2005, Amelia passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 86 years. Amelia is survived by her children, Elia (Jose) Silva, Jorge (Graca) Botelho, Fernanda (Jose) Ledo, Alvaro (Filomena) Botelho, Graca (Antonio) Rego, Olga (Joao) Pavao; grandchildren, Rui, Helder, Pedro, Paulo, Claudio, Mike, Rita, Nuno, Dina, Susie, Joao, Shelley, Brian, Debbie and Ana; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Patricia, Danika and one new born girl; siblings, Angelina Correia, Conceicao Medeiros and Jose Medeiros. She was predeceased by her husband Jorge Almeida Botelho; siblings, Mariano Medeiros, Alvarino Medeiros, Alfred Medeiros, Antonio Medeiros and Maria De Estrela. Amelia was born on November 28, 1918 in Portugal and came to Canada in 1977, where she lived her life, always surrounded by many family and friends. She will be greatly missed by many. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Sunday, November 13 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H.,V.F. as celebrant. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Amelia's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
