Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILLIE KLAPKA September 5, 1921 - November 4, 2005 In loving memory of Millie Klapka, a resident of Providence Bay, ON died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Mindemoya, on Friday, November 4, 2005, at the age of 84 years. She was born in Dazwa, Poland, daughter of the late Jaroslav and Anna (Pokrupa) Skrabal, and in 1929, came to Canada, where her family settled in Ridgeville, MB. Millie will be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, who farmed, liked to cook and bake, and especially enjoyed gardening and picking berries. She gave of her time to her family and the community, where she volunteered at the Care Home in Emerson, MB for many years. About one year ago, she moved to Providence Bay, where she became part of the community, and was able to have her own garden, which she enjoyed very much. Millie was predeceased by her beloved husband Jerry John Klapka, July 15, 1999. Loved and loving mother of Darlene Klapka of Emerson, MB, Agnes Cuthbertson and husband Stewart of Providence Bay, Rodney Klapka and his wife Susan of Selkirk, MB and Donna Dansereau and husband Guy of Winnipeg, MB. Proud grandmother of Jerrold Gabb, Wendy, Leslie and Erin Cuthbertson, Allison Karklin (Darren Skrupski), Matthew Klapka (Sherry Werbiski), Richard Dansereau and his wife Avery and Robert Dansereau and his wife Karol; and great-grandchildren, Emily Karklin, Evan Skrupski and Stephen Werbiski. Predeceased by an infant sister Mary. A memorial funeral service was held at Providence Bay United Church, on Wednesday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Mary Jo Eckert Tracy officiating. A memorial service will be held at Green Ridge United Church, Ridgeville on Tuesday, November 15 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bev Ward officiating. Cremation has taken place, with committal of ashes in the South Ridge Cemetery, Ridgeville. If so desired, donations to the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary or the Emerson Personal Care Home would be appreciated. The clock of life is wound but once, And no man has the power To tell just when the hands will stop On what day - or what hour. Now is the only time you own So live it with a will Don't wait until tomorrow The hands may then be still.
