Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD ALEXANDER BROWN Suddenly, in the early hours on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, Harold quietly passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 77 years. Surviving are his wife, of 57 years, Kay; son Ray (Carol); his precious grandson Travis; sisters, Doris (Chris) and Adeline; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Annie Brown; an infant son Raymond; brother Alan; and sister Violet. On December 25, 1927, Harold was born in Lundar, MB. Harold worked on various farms and was quite the hockey player for the Lundar team. He then moved to Winnipeg, during the war in the early 1940s, to work for Eaton's as a chauffeur. Harold married Kay Robson on November 22, 1947. On October 17, 1955, their son Ray was born. Harold started out as an honorary member of the St. James Legion and later became an associate member until his passing. He worked at Bristol Aerospace as an aircraft spray painter for 38 years until his retirement at 65. He was meticulous at his job and always had a great interest in aircrafts. Harold and Kay enjoyed spending their summers at their cottage in Grand Marais. He loved to fish and putter around the cabin. Harold and his wife's family would often get together for a jam session. For an evening of entertainment, Kay and Harold played guitars while the other family members played the harmonica, spoons, drums, etc. On Monday, November 14 at 10:30 a.m., Harold's funeral will be held in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Ave. (corner of Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue). For those who wish, parking will be available in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. Viewing will take place prior to the service. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold's memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or to a charity of one's choice.
