BETTY WOODS Betty Woods passed away peacefully on November 9, 2005 at the Boyne Lodge, Carman, MB at the age of 90. She leaves two daughters Eileen and Husband Brian Milne, and Elizabeth Skelton all of Carman, stepdaughter Peggy and husband Vance Taylor of California, and stepson Bob Woods of Ontario. She is also survived by grandchildren Cameron Milne and wife Tammy of Brandon, James Milne and wife Audrey of Regina, Karen and husband Lynn Rempel and Blaine Skelton and friend Lynne Wiebe all of Carman. Betty is also survived by great-grandchildren Blair and Brian of Brandon, and Ben, Jon and Emily of Carman. Mom was born in the Lundar area the eldest of nine children to Bess and George Hayward. She is survived by one sister Eva of Winnipeg and one brother Les of Lundar, sister-in-law Joan Hayward, Mary Hayward and brother-in-law Joe Johannson. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters: Fred Hayward, Lal Eyford, Nan Ferens, Jenny Johannson, Dave Hayward and Jim Hayward. Mom lost her first husband Ben Reynolds in 1954 and her second husband Ralph in 1989. If there were two words to describe Mom, they were Independent and unfearing. She would tackle any project, be it driving by herself to and from Florida, well in to her eighties. Buying improving and selling properties, art work, getting her GED in her sixties, collecting antiques, refinishing furniture or her favourite taking off for a Bingo someplace. She truly lived and loved life. She found it very difficult being limited in later years as to what she could do, but still managed to Take off a few times. Rest in peace Mom you deserve it. Special thanks to Boundary Trails Hospital, Carman Memorial Hospital and especially those wonderfully caring people at Boyne Lodge. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2005 at the Carman United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Memorial donations may be made to the Carman Pool Change House Development Fund, Box 127, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. www.doyleschapels.com
