RUTH ANN SHOPKA (nee BARTSCH) After a brave battle with cancer, Ruth Shopka passed away on the evening of November 10, 2005 at the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg with her family at her side. Ruth was born February 10, 1947 in Hague, SK and moved to Winkler, MB with her parents at the age of one. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob (1982) and Maria (1988) Bartsch. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Jacqueline and her husband Klaus Schneider of La Salle, MB and their two children, Stefan and Tristan; one sister Martha and her husband George Thompson of Matlock, MB; two brothers, Jim and his wife Linda Bartsch of Winnipeg and Bill and his wife Anne Bartsch of Quesnell, BC and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler, MB, 120 8th Street with Rev. Jake Froese officiating. Viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Reinfeld Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Wiebe Funeral Home of Winkler in care of arrangements. (204) 325-4201
