MARLENE WASNIE (nee MARSHALL) With heavy hearts, we announce that Marlene Wasnie, while surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully into the Lord's arms on November 10, 2005. Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her husband Steve Hrynchuk; her three children, Danny (Linda and her daughter Kaitlyn); Kim (Jamie), along with their children, Kenzie and Kady; Kelly (Bonnie) along with their children, Dylan and Hailie; and her stepson Steven. She also leaves to mourn her father Charles Marshall; sisters, Dorothy, Louise, Brenda and Tracey (Mitch); along with her brother Larry (Monica); sister-in-law Phyllis and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by Steve's family. She was predeceased by her mother Evelyn; brothers, Donnie, Eddy and Ricky; as well as her brother-in-law David. Marlene was born November 21, 1944 in Vivian, MB. She worked at various jobs throughout her life but worked the hardest and enjoyed the most as being wife, mother and grandmother. The times spent with family were very important to Mom and she enjoyed every minute she could with her grandchildren. The bigger the family gathering, the more enjoyable it would be. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family get-togethers. She enjoyed cake decorating and making perogies for anyone who wanted. Before her illness took place, she enjoyed making perogies with her family as a fundraising project. She enjoyed her crib nights along with Bingo in the community of Ste. Rita. Mom was always there for anyone who needed a babysitter, a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand, and was always ready to solve a problem with anyone who chose her for advice. Her daily phone calls will be missed by many. She overcame every obstacle life presented her with a smile on her face. Her final obstacle was too tough a challenge to overcome, but she always had her smiling face. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Beausejour Hospital for all their care and support shown to Mom. Your kindness was an extreme comfort to her. At Mom's request, a private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's name to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Beausejour Hospital Palliative Care. We will always love you, Mom, and you will never be forgotten. SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM, Beausejour 268-3510 or MB toll free 1-877-776-2220
