BEDFORD (nee MISCAMPBELL) March 16, 1919 - November 12, 2005 Cathie passed away on November 12, 2005, at the age of 86, after a brief struggle with cancer. Born in Harris, SK to Elizabeth and John Miscampbell, she is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph E. Bedford; her daughters, Susan (Kurt) Williams of Saskatoon, SK and Jane (Brian) Nowak of Crossfield, AB; and granddaughters, Meagan and Catherine Williams and Catherine Nowak. After high school, Cathie attended the Saskatoon Business College and upon graduation worked for the CIBC. She met Joe in 1947 and in 1949 followed him to Winnipeg, where they married in 1951. In 1966, Cathie and Joe moved to Edmonton, where they have made their home ever since. Cathie was blessed with good friends and an active, social life until her last months. Her friends and family knew her to be a gifted raconteur, whose motto was never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Cathie will always be remembered for her sharp wit and unique style, and to the end, she never lost her sense of humour. In keeping with Cathie's wishes, no public services will be held, but condolences and remembrances can be sent cathiebedford@hotmail.com, and donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. In lieu of flowers, please try to quit smoking, or don't start in the first place. Loved and always remembered.
