MARY SARAH BEAUCHEMIN (nee LANE) In loving memory of Sarah Beauchemin who passed away peacefully at Centre Tache in Winnipeg, MB, on November 10, 2005 in her 100th year. Sarah was predeceased by her loving husband, Patrick Albert and her much loved and devoted son, Patrick Emile. Sarah was also predeceased by siblings: Irene, Leo, Frank, Patrick, Eva, Hector, Ella and Albert and is survived by sister, Agnes and daughter-in-law, Pauline (Victoria, BC). Sarah was the proud grandmother of Sharlotte, Bob (Maggie), Jim (Elaine), and Ed and fond great-grandmother of Taya, Tori and Reid. She was also much loved and respected by the families of her siblings. Sarah was born Mary Sarah Lane in 1906 in St. Charles and spent most of her youth growing up on a farm in rural Manitoba until she met Albert. They married in 1925 and lived the remainder of their married life in and around Winnipeg. Sarah was a devoted wife to Albert and a loving mother to her only child Emile. She worked very hard alongside her husband to create a good family life for their son. Sarah was also a devoted Catholic and lived her life in an exemplary manner with grace and dignity. She was an excellent cook and a wonderful hostess. Her other interests included keeping abreast of current affairs and she was a great sports enthusiast. The family wish to thank all staff at Centre Tache and, in particular, Monique McGurry and Sister Alice Chevresils for all their care and attention. The staff respected that Sarah was a very private person. The grandchildren also wish to thank Wendy McCloy for her love and devotion to their grandmother, not only in recent times, but throughout the years and all other family who took the time to visit and spend time with her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 16 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, 353 St. Mary's Ave. Interment will be held in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy.
