JEANNE MARIE NELSON (nee JOHNSON) After courageously winning many battles against cancer, Jean lost the war with dignity and grace on Sunday, November 13, 2005 in her 82nd year, surrounded by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) of 50 years on August 30, 2001. Jean was the loving mother of two daughters, Barbara Larson of Kenora and Brenda (Terry) Holliday of Red Lake. She was most proud of her grand-children, Cindy (Spencer) Olson of Kenora and Kevin (Melissa Sullivan) Holliday of Cochenour and her two great-grandchildren Brandon and Calysta Olson. In keeping with mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Red Lake. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Balmertown for both Jean and Bill.
