Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ISABEL LAMOTHE (nee WALLACE) August 10, 1921 - November 11, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Margaret Isabel, on Friday, November 11, 2005, at St. Boniface General Hospital. Margaret was born in Punnichy, SK on August 10, 1921. Her family later moved to Swan River, MB where hdonaer dad ran the general store and her mother operated a dress shop. She joined the Army during the Second World War. After the war, Margaret was employed with Eaton's as a comptometer operator. She also enjoyed travelling with friends. Margaret joined the St. Vital Legion Branch #16 where she met her husband of 41 years, Eddie Lamothe. They raised a son and daughter and spent every summer camping at Toniata campground on Falcon Lake, and also pulling their trailer across Canada on family vacations. Margaret took great pride and was very dedicated to the Legion, especially the Remembrance Day service on November 11. She has now joined her many comrades that she paid such loyal tribute to over the years. Margaret has left to mourn her husband Eddie; daughter Susan (Ralph) Borger; grandchildren, Lindsay Reid, Michael, Steven and Tim; sister Jean (Jack) Lowman of Whiterock, BC and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Susan Allena and Samuel Wallace; brothers, Hugh and Russ; and tragically, her son Blair, on May 26, 1996. We wish to thank, for their compassionate care, all staff on 6A South at St. Boniface General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. There will be a gathering for family and friends to celebrate Margaret's memory on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at The Royal Canadian Legion, St. Vital Branch #16, 554 St. Mary's Rd. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Lawn Funeral Home 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
