Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJASON MACHUT On Saturday, November 12, 2005, we tragically lost our beloved Jason Joseph Machut at the age of 31. Jason was born on July 8, 1974 in Winnipeg, MB. He lived in the same house with his parents, Evelyn and Joe Machut; and sisters, Charlene, Karen and Valerie Machut. Jason attended Lord Roberts Elementary School. At the age of 12, Jason began working with his father at his father's company, Handyman Industries. He continued working there after school and on weekends while attending Churchill High School. He also worked at Merit Gas Station during this time. After Jason graduated from grade 12, he worked full time at his Dad's company. When he was 20, he moved in with his high school sweetheart, Tammy Pearson. They had a daughter whom they named Samantha. Jay continued on with his education at Red River College taking his Level 1 Carpentry. When he graduated, Jason, Tammy and Samantha moved to a farm in Rivers where he worked as a carpenter's apprentice for Tammy's father, Rod Pearson. Jason and Tammy were married on August 23, 1997. He then moved on to work with JSI, travelling around with them on their job sites. Jason and Tammy purchased a home in Rivers in April 1999. Jason then had a son Joel, born in April 1999. He later worked at PCL Contractors and a few other construction companies. Jason was also self-employed for many years and was a great carpenter. Another daughter Sarah, was born in April 2003. Jason worked for the last two years of his life for Scott Ramsay at Rivers, MB. Jason was very devoted to his family and showered his love and attention upon his wife and children at every opportunity. He was always full of positive energy and was a shining spirit ever since he was a child. Jason enjoyed spending time with his friends and family especially if it was outdoors fishing, camping or hunting. As well as his own children, Jason extended his love and spirit to his nieces and nephews and to children of his many friends and neighbours. Jason was a generous person and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. Jason leaves behind to mourn his wife Tammy and their three children, Samantha (10), Joel (6) and Sara (2). His parents, Evelyn and Joseph Machut; his three sisters, Charlene (Dan) Laramee, Karen Machut and Valerie Machut; niece Ashley; nephews, David and Cole; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rod and Jeanette Pearson; brothers-in-law, Robert Pearson and Michael Redhead; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Pearson and Eliza Flett. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Sigfrid and Aina Rantala and Mary and Harry Machut. Viewing will be held Friday, November 18 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Brockie-Donovan Funeral Home, 332-8th Street, Brandon, MB. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rivers United Church, 339 Main St., Rivers, MB with Glenna Beauchamp officiating. Graveside at Rivers Cemetery and reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 633-2nd Avenue, Rivers, MB, will follow.
