STEPHEN ADAMS MCDONALD Steve passed away on November 14, 2005 with his close companion and special friend, Esther Oyas, at his side. He is survived by his daughter Heather, siblings Bess Mills and Jack McDonald and their spouses as well as 3 nephews, 1 niece and his extended family from his second marriage. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Stephen and Janet, his first wife Norma, children George and Joan, and his second wife, Molly. Steve was born on January 12, 1913 and resided in Winnipeg for most of his life. He lived in Red Lake for a while during his employment with Madsen Mines. Like many men of his generation, he spent time overseas starting his military service as a bombardier in the RCA and finishing with the British 6th Airborne Division. At the end of service, he returned to Winnipeg where he worked until his retirement spent residing in Elmwood and most recently in the downtown area. The family would like to thank all the many people who showed compassion and care looking after Steve during his brief illness. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 18 at Elmwood Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 18, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street) at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
