Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAVIS YARWOOD December 15, 1919 - November 16, 2005 After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Mavis Yarwood (nee Lake) at her home in Gimli, MB. To mourn her loss, granddaughter Samantha Yarwood, son and good friend, Bob Sumner, brother Alvin Lake and sisters-in-law, Helen and Margaret Lake all of Edmonton, Betty Lake of Winnipeg, daughter-in-law Lee, sisters-in-law, Margaret Yarwood, Jean Yarwood and Nell Cross and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Harold, son John and brothers, Wilfred (Lavy) and Alfred Lake. Mavis worked for many years with Canada Bread in Winnipeg where she had many friends. We wish to thank Dr. Chapnick and the entire nursing staff of the Gimli Community Health Centre, the dedicated members of the Home Care and Palliative Care Unit of the Interlake Regional Health Authority. Cremation has taken place. No service will be held at this time and a graveside service will be held at a later date. Loved and missed by all. A better person there never was. We love you more. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the North West Palliative Care Program, Box 250, Gimli, MB R0C 1B0. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
