STEPHEN HORDO Peacefully and with family members by his side, Steve passed away on Friday, November 11, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 93 years. Remaining to cherish Steve's memory are his wife, Amy; son Lyle of Winnipeg; daughter Michele (Mark) of Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia; granddaughter Lynnette (Jim); great-grandson Philip of Halifax, Nova Scotia and grandson Spencer of Vancouver, B.C. He was predeceased by his first wife Evelyn. Steve spent most of his working years at the CPR Weston Shops. His real life's work, however, was caring for his family. From his parents to his children, his wife to his siblings and all members of his extended family, Steve made it his job to take care of whomever he could. He was free with his advice and always willing to lend a helping hand. Right up to his death Steve had a keen mind, a strong sense of fairness and a wonderful sense of humor. A private family graveside service and interment will be held in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Victoria General 5 South. In lieu of flowers and if friends so desire, a donation in Steve's memory may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation.
