ANNE SHEWCHUK (nee PRYSTANSKY) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Anne on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at the Oakview Place Nursing Home in Winnipeg. Remaining to cherish Anne's memory are her sister, Pauline Brynko; sons, John (Eleanor), David (Kathryn) and Gerry (Chantal); daughter Terri Anne; grandchildren, Kaid Shewchuk, Jaren Shewchuk, Brittany Shewchuk, and Tyson Shewchuk and her great-granddaughter, Avery. Anne was predeceased by her husband, John Shewchuk, in 1998 and with whom she enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Anne's life was devoted to her family and she took great delight in their accomplishments. Anne was possessed of a shy and gentle nature and she always had a special place in her heart for God's feathered and furry creatures. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman at Arlington Street, with Rev. Fr. Isidore Dziadyk officiating. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Oakview Place Nursing Home for their kind care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, and if friends should wish, a donation may be made in Anne's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 0S6 or to a charity of choice.
