Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUNA TAKACS On November 15, 2005 with Lily by her side Bruna passed away after a brief illness. Bruna was born to Ettore and Anna on August 19, 1923. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Joseph (2000) and older sister Guilana (2003). She will be missed by her only daughter Lily as well as brother-in-law Andrea, niece Frances (Ross and Andrew); nephews, George, (Tanya, Justin, Joshua, Joelle and Andy), Geza Horvath (Wendy, Mark, Ryan), nieces and nephews in Europe and many friends. Bruna immigrated to Canada with her mother and daughter in 1958 on the ship Olympia and arrived at Pier 21, Halifax from there they travelled to Winnipeg by train to join her sister and family. In her early years she worked at a day care in Italy and she worked at the Misericordia and Health Sciences Centre for many years. In 1964 Bruna married Joseph. They enjoyed their years together at the cottage in Ponemah and travelling. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting, reading, travelling, shopping and her many pets throughout her years. She loved spending time with family and friends. Lily would like to thank the Grace Hospital staff emergency, 3rd floor medicine, O.R, chaplains Dr. Wei Li, Dr. Trevor Lee, Dr. Brown, family doctor Dr. John Mayba, the 4th floor surgery unit staff who struggled with Bruna's problems to make her life as comfortable as can be. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bruna's name to a charity of one's choice. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with reception to follow.
