MONTY ROBERT GEORGE HENDERSON Suddenly, on Saturday, October 29, 2005, Monty Henderson of Ft. St. John, BC, formerly of Winnipeg and Whitemouth, MB, passed away at the age of 62 years. Left to mourn his passing are his mother Anne Henderson Barry, first wife Lynne Henderson, daughter Tamara Heilman and partner Frank, son Dean Henderson and wife Carrie, daughter Karena Henderson, grandchildren, Jonathan Heilman, Cameron Henderson and Kinnon Henderson, all of Winnipeg, sister Susan Tracy (Ron) and family of Winnipeg, sister Pat Goertzen (Jim) and family of Sooke and Pouce Coupe, BC and brother Ted Henderson (Joyce) and family of Dawson Creek, BC. Monty will also be missed by Diane McLeod and family of Ft. St. John, as well as many relatives and friends throughout several provinces. Monty was predeceased by his father George (Toady) Henderson, infant sister Carol, beloved brother Thomas and stepdad Arnold Barry. Monty was born June 18, 1943 and was raised on the family farm outside Whitemouth. After high school he worked at Manitoba Hydro in Whitemouth. Monty was adventurous and clever, trying his hand at a variety of careers such as serving as a Winnipeg police officer, managing a restaurant on the Alaska Highway, long-distance trucking and operating heavy equipment of various kinds. Wilderness camping, hunting, fishing, horses, big machinery and his work were his passions. Monty made Ft. St. John, BC his home for many years and was working out at camp in northern British Columbia at the time of his passing. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to come and share memories at a memorial to be held Friday, November 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the banquet room at Royal Pizza, 525 St. Mary's Rd., Winnipeg.
