SGT. ROBERT DAYTON (Retd.) Born September 30, 1931. Quietly passed away at home with family and close friends on November 16, 2005. At a very early age he joined the military and served for over 25 years, first with the Artillery and later, after upgrading his education through correspondence, with Army Intelligence as an investigator. His service life was highly satisfying. After his military service Bob owned and operated Truck Stops in various locations across Northern Ontario and finally retired back to his beloved Prairies. Bob came to Emerson with his family in June of 1997 where he put down roots, based on an agreeable environment and the anticipation of being joined by an old and valued friend, who followed later, Bill Rolls. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Altona MCC. The funeral service will be Monday, November 21 at 2:00 p.m. from the Emerson New Horizons Centre, 106 Church St. in Emerson, MB with interment to follow in the Lakeside Cemetery.
